Head Chef John Coleman
Chef John Coleman, a Boston native, had his first job in a kitchen when he was 16 years old and served as a grill cook at Hilltop Steak House. Over the course of his impressive 23-year culinary career, Chef Coleman developed a food philosophy rooted in the idea that food is social, which he will aim to establish in his first solo venture at Savor, the first restaurant at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, Texas. Savor will offer patrons a chef-driven menu and food sourced from top purveyors that brings people together to enjoy an experience rather than just a meal. The modern gastropub will provide shared plates that are simply prepared, fresh and offer a vibrant combination of flavors.
Chef Coleman’s tenured career includes collaborative ventures with some of the country’s most talented and respected chefs including Gary Danko. Chef Coleman spent the bulk of his culinary career with the luxury hotel chain Ritz-Carlton, most recently as the Executive Chef for the Ritz Dallas. The Dallas hotel was one of the 18 Ritz-Carlton hotels he opened for the hotel group. Chef Coleman was a key member of the Dallas hotel’s leadership development program and directed numerous improvement processes that resulted in a top rating for the hotel.
An avid outdoorsman, Chef Coleman considered a career as a competitive freestyle skier until 1989, when his passion for culinary led him toward the kitchen.
Chef Coleman lives with his wife and three daughters in Dallas, where they enjoy outdoor activities as a family.
Chef Partner Joe Scigliano
Chef Joe Scigliano has many great memories of enjoying authentic Italian cooking from his Grandmother and father, fostering his love for all things culinary. The competitive atmosphere and the culinary industry have been a substantial part of Scigliano’s life, proving to be the driving force behind his ambitious spirit.

Joe attended Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh in 2002. Then he spent an impressive nine years with The Ritz-Carlton, most recently as the Executive Sous Chef at The Ritz Dallas. During his tenure at the hotel, his contributions to the food and beverage department were integral to the hotel’s Zagat rating as best hotel in the world in 2009 and being named an AAA Five Diamond property. Joe was also a major player in the offsite catering business and spear headed the AT&T Performing Arts center opening Gala in October 2009.
